DATA APPLICATIONS

SEARCH FOR VEHICLES (ITERATIVE SEARCH APP)

  • the search app utilizes the model descriptions data for each vehicle in the database.
  • each step of the search app filters the database and returns the data elements of vehicles remaining after adjusting for all prior filters.
  • the count is the number of vehicles at each step which match all current elements selected.
  • the number of vehicles returned for each search is dependent upon the membership level associated with the email address submitted.
  • if the number of vehicles matching the search criteria (count) exceeds the amount allowed for the membership level a random subset is returned. each iteration returns a different random subset.
  • the content in the results description string is dependent upon the membership level associated with the email address submitted.
  • links in the result open the target vehicle page in the View Vehicles by VID page associated with the email address submitted (Basic or Enhanced).
  • the iterative search app can used to filter any combination of vehicle data elements for purposes of calculating build counts and percentages.

VIEW VEHICLES BY VID/VIEW VEHICLES BY VIN

  • the email address entered for submit is referenced in the database and returns the data elements authorized for that email address (membership level).

    VIEW SEARCH RESULTS BY SID

  • the email address entered for submit is referenced in the database and returns the search app description string authorized for that email address (membership level).
  • the random alpha numeric search app ID can be found in the original search app results email.
  • the email address used must be the original search app results email which is matched in the database to the search ID (SID).

VIEW THE CURRENT SPIDER DATA SET (VEHICLE PAGES)

  • the current spider app returns the list of vehicles in the current spider data set as used to calculate submodel and submodel+body data and analytics.
  • the data set changes daily as new vehicles are added and older vehicles drop out of the optimal time period for the submodel or submodel+body.
  • the count is the number of vehicles which are in the current spider data set.
  • the content in the results description string is dependent upon the membership level associated with the email address submitted.
  • links in the result open the target vehicle page in the View Vehicles by VID page associated with the email address submitted (Basic or Enhanced).

    VID UPDATER

  • find a new VID using the old VID.
  • effective November 1, 2020 all VID in the P9 Registry were updated to new VID beginning with the number ‘4’.
  • updated VIDs starting with the number ‘4’ are required for all P9 Registry apps which use a VID.
  • enter the old VID for a vehicle and submit to obtain the new VID.

VALUATION APPLICATIONS

    CALCULATED MARKET DATA

  • the market data calculations utilize user inputs to compare target pricing to the market using vehicle specific references such as MSRP and mileage.
  • the MSRP input can be used to modify the original cost basis of the vehicle.
  • the underlying market data set changes daily as new vehicles are added and older vehicles drop out of the optimal statistical time period for the submodel or submodel+body as a result of the daily spider.

    MSRP SPREAD ADJUSTED ESTIMATE

  • this estimate is set by adjusting the vehicle’s MSRP spread to the market average MSRP spread on similar vehicles.
  • this is the average market value.
  • mileage adjustments to values are statistically optimized.
  • the underlying market data set changes daily as new vehicles are added and older vehicles drop out of the optimal statistical time period as a result of the daily spider.

    MARKET DIFFERENTIAL ADJUSTED ESTIMATE

  • this estimate is set by adjusting the MSRP Spread Adjusted Estimate by a statistically calculated maximum market premium or discount factor derived from similar vehicles.
  • this is the theoretical maximum market value.
  • mileage adjustments to values are statistically optimized.
  • the underlying market data set changes daily as new vehicles are added and older vehicles drop out of the optimal statistical time period as a result of the daily spider.
